Cannes film festival: Alessandra Ambrosio stuns in couture ball gown by French designer Stephane Rolland
Alessandra Ambrosio has shone bright as the fashion stakes on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival were taken to new heights.
The Brazilian-American supermodel was described as the “epitome of glamour” in a naked/white couture ball gown by French designer Stephane Rolland worn to the screening of Armageddon Time.
Silver details covered the Victoria’s Secret Angel’s chest, with the elegant dress accessorised with white silk gloves.
She also wore silver earrings and a matching necklace.
Event organisers had rolled out the red carpet as cinema stars, festival-goers and oglers gathered for the 75th anniversary event, bringing buzz and glamour back to the French Riviera resort, as well as discussions about the role of cinema during times of conflict.
The event was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic and was held as a scaled-back gathering in 2021.
But after last year requiring regular COVID-19 testing and masks in theatres – and no kisses on the red carpet – Cannes has largely done away with pandemic protocols.
