Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly a little frustrated with Harry Maguire during Manchester United’s 1-0 win over West Ham.
Maguire has been out of action for the Red Devils since suffering an abdominal injury in the victory over Burnley, which was United’s final match of 2021.
He missed three games but returned to the side during United’s 3-1 win over Brentford on Tuesday and was named in the starting XI alongside Raphael Varane to take on the Hammers on Saturday.
United left it late to secure the points, with Marcus Rashford netting the only goal of the game on 93 minutes.
The Red Devils have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and Ralf Rangnick would have been pleased with his defence picking up a clean sheet to return to the top four spots.

Maguire has been in poor form this season but he too put in an improved performance against David Moyes’ side.
That said, Maguire did receive some on-pitch advice from a rather frustrated Ronaldo during one point in the game, which sums up just how much influence the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has at Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, Maguire attempted to find Ronaldo with a first-time header while clearing a West Ham attack, but the Portuguese international was slow to react.
Instead of facing up to his mistake, Ronaldo turned on Maguire and advised him to take the ball down on his chest next time.
A recent report from The Athletic claimed that a number of Man United stars, particularly the younger up-and-comers, struggle to approach the 36-year-old in the dressing room.
A number of them were also said to be frustrated by Ronaldo’s recent Sky Sports interview in which he suggested certain individuals are too sensitive to his advice or criticism.
Maguire is an experienced head and Ronaldo’s comments would have likely had no impact on his game.
But Ronaldo’s insistence to micromanage the team on a weekend appears to be wearing thin with some members of the squad, with The Athletic also claiming the Real Madrid legend was again frustrated with Mason Greenwood shooting instead of passing.
