Ahead of the match, Warner seemed to be in jovial mood as he was seen touching his old teammate and RH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s feet.
In a video posted by IPL, Bhuvneshwar and Ishan Sharma were seen having a chat before Warner rushed to the pacer and touched his feet before the two hugged each other.
DC pacer Ishant Sharma was also spotted in the video and he couldn’t control his laughter after seeing Warner’s antics.
After the match, Warner extended his gratitude to the crowd and also admitted he loves being at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
“Love it here, it’s an amazing crowd, they always come here and support. Thanks for all the support. The game throws us challenges, for us, it’s great to get two points,” he said.
Talking about the match, Axar Patel starred with bat and bowl and impact sub Mukesh Kumar held his nerve as DC edged SRH in a low-scoring thriller.
The left-handed Axar (34) lifted Delhi from a precarious 62-5 to 144-9 in a gritty partnership of 69 with Manish Pandey (34) on Hyderabad’s home turf.
Axar then returned figures of 2-21 with his left-arm spin.
