Frank Warren reveals who Tyson Fury views as his biggest threat in boxing

Joyce, 36, is the mandatory challenger for the WBO title currently held by Oleksandr Usyk and is also ranked third with the WBC.

The Putney fighter claimed a career-best win when he became the first man to beat Daniel Dubois last November, claiming a sixth-round stoppage win over former world title challenger Carlos Takam in June.

Dillian Whyte could be Fury’s next opponent if the Brixton heavyweight comes through his fight against Otto Wallin at the end of the month while unification against Usyk or Anthony Joshua could await next year.

But Fury has identified his stablemate Joyce as the biggest threat to his crown.

‘I was talking to Tyson about him,” Warren told Sky Sports.

‘Tyson said that he’s the best one out there. That’s what Tyson’s opinion was. Can he go all the way? Yes he can. He’s got a good ticker, a big heart. He’s strong, he walks forwards, he is the ‘Juggernaut.’”

‘Whoever he’s in there with, you know they will have a problem getting rid of him. He’s a tough guy. He can fight a bit. He can punch.’

Joyce will have to wait for his title shot with the WBO’s mandatory title fight fulfilled in September by Usyk.

Anthony Joshua has already activated his rematch clause after losing his world titles to the undefeated Ukrainian with that fight likely to take place in spring 2022.
