Mariannette Miller-Meeks claims Joe Biden will be on drugs for debate

Republican U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks claimed President Joe Biden is taking stimulants to compensate for his “cognitive decline.”

On a Fox News Business segment Monday, Miller-Meeks, who represents Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, suggested Biden will be using some kind of drugs during the upcoming presidential debate.

“In the State of the Union Address we saw a much different Biden than we had seen before,” Miller-Meeks said. “Many of the doctors in Congress felt he was on some type of stimulant.”

Miller-Meeks also noted on the show she is a doctor who worked “mostly with elderly patients.” Miller-Meeks worked as a private ophthalmologist, which is a doctor who treats and diagnoses eye disorders. She maintains a valid Iowa medical license.

“I have been to the White House several times for bill signings, and all of us have seen the degradation of President Biden’s cognitive facilities,” Miller-Meeks said on Fox. “This isn’t an age issue this is cognitive and performative functions.”

President Joe Biden will ‘be on something’ for the presidential debate, says Iowa Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks

Miller-Meeks said Biden’s demeanor during the speech looked as if he could have been on steroids or Ritalin, which is a medication to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder She said she expects to see the same thing from Biden during the debate.

“He was very amped up, he was very aggressive and almost yelling at the time he was there,” Miller-Meeks said. “It was a campaign speech, not a State of the Union speech. So we anticipate that for this debate that he will be on something.”

Media hiding Biden’s cognitive decline, Miller-Meeks claims

Miller-Meeks said the press is working to cover up the president’s declining mental abilities.

“The videos we have seen of President Biden’s cognitive decline are not false, they are not manufactured, they are not deepfakes,” Miller-Meeks said. “The president has significant cognitive decline as we’ve all seen.”

Miller-Meeks’ comments follow a pattern of GOP allegations about Biden showing cognitive decline

A GOP representative from Texas has called on Biden to submit a drug test before an after the debate. Former President Donald Trump has fueled the rhetoric at rallies with unfounded claims of Biden taking performance-enhancement drugs.

“So a little before debate time he gets a shot in the ass and that’s — they want to strengthen him up. So he comes out, he’ll come out — OK. I say he’ll come out all jacked up, right?” Trump told supporters at a rally in Philadelphia according to NBC News.

A top adviser to Donald Trump said Tuesday that President Biden will “probably be filled with Adderall” at Thursday’s first presidential debate — the latest suggestion from the former president’s camp that his opponent will be drugged up on stage.

The Biden administration has not commented on the recent allegations regarding his mental capacity. In February, Biden’s physician declared him “fit for duty.”
