Police tried to revive the woman Saturday afternoon after she fell from a building on Van Ness Ave. near Russian Hill.
A woman fell to her death Saturday from a building on Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco, according to police.

Police said the incident happened at about 4 p.m. at the 2900 block of Van Ness Ave. between Francisco and Chestnut streets. Officers tried to administer CPR to the woman, who died at the scene.
Authorities did not release the victim’s identity. It’s unclear how many stories the woman fell, though police said they didn’t immediately find signs of foul play.
Police are investigating the incident.
