Now Cruz Azul has home field advantage for the second leg, and they will need to beat Monterrey or hold them to a draw at least, if they hope to advance to the next round. Tiebreakers in the Clausura are decided by away goals, so if Monterrey can score twice and has just a one-point lead, they can still take the semifinal.
