Packers list eight questionable for Sunday night

GREEN BAY – The Packers have listed eight players as questionable for Sunday night’s matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Those eight are receivers Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (knee), cornerbacks Jaire Alexander (shoulder) and Robert Rochell (calf), linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (neck), tight end Josiah Deguara (hip), and safeties Rudy Ford (biceps/groin) and Darnell Savage (calf).

Running back Aaron Jones (knee) has been ruled out, while cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) is doubtful.

Reed returned to practice on Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday with a chest injury. The rookie second-round pick leads the Packers with 497 receiving yards this season.

Alexander has missed six of Green Bay’s 11 games due to back and shoulder injuries. His last appearance came in Green Bay’s 20-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 5.

“We’ll see how he got through today and where he’s at on Sunday,” said Head Coach Matt LaFleur of Alexander. “Certainly, you always would want a guy of his caliber out on the field. It makes you a better football team.”

Savage and Stokes are designated to return off injured reserve and would need to be activated in order to play vs. the Chiefs. Green Bay currently has two spots open on its 53-man roster.

The Packers didn’t issue a game status for the following players who are expected to play: running back AJ Dillon (groin), defensive lineman Kenny Clark (shoulder), linebacker Rashan Gary (shoulder), cornerback Keisean Nixon (wrist), and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (heel).

Kansas City has listed running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) as questionable and ruled out linebacker Nick Bolton (wrist), who’s designated to return off the Chiefs’ injured reserve.

Kansas City didn’t issue a game status for the following players who are expected to be available: safety Bryan Cook (biceps), receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle/hip), receiver Rashee Rice (foot), tackle Donovan Smith (neck), cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (knee) and receiver Skyy Moore (knee).
