A man was shot outside a Stop & Shop on Route 60 in Revere Tuesday evening, according to the Revere Police Department.
At 6:50 p.m., State troopers assisted Revere police to a report of a shooting outside the store located at 540 Squire Road, State Police said. The victim was brought to the hospital.
The shooting does not appear to be random, according to Revere police.
Police did not release further details about the shooting.
Video footage from a Tesla parked nearby, obtained by WCVB-TV, shows what appears to be an argument between a man in a Black SUV and two men outside the car. The witness in the Tesla told the station that the man got out of the car and shot the victim in the stomach.
Police cleared the scene around 7:40 p.m., State Police said.
Stop & Shop described the shooting as an “unfortunate incident” in a written statement.
“The safety of our associates and customers is a top priority for us, and we are thankful for local law enforcement and first responders for their swift response,” a spokesperson for Stop & Shop said.
After temporarily closing, the store has reopened, according to the spokesperson.
The investigation is ongoing.
