At its Parc des Princes home French super-club Paris Saint-Germain generated over €1,000 more per seat through matchday revenue than any other stadium among the top revenue-generating European football clubs, according to TheStadiumBusiness Index 2024.
TheStadiumBusiness Index divides the total matchday revenues of each of the top 20 clubs – as ranked in the latest Football Money League, which is published annually by professional services firm Deloitte – by their stadium capacities to calculate an annual revenue per seat.
PSG generated €3,192 per seat in the 2022-23 season at its 47,929-capacity home, based on total matchday revenue of €153m, with second-placed Chelsea earning an average of €2,181 per seat.

PSG’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, recently stated that the French Ligue 1 football club will seek to move from the Parc des Princes following the City of Paris’ declaration that the stadium is not for sale.

Chelsea led five English Premier League clubs in the Index rankings, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, with the opening of the club’s Westview premium facility in 2021 having helped to drive Stamford Bridge revenues.
In third place in the Index, Tottenham Hotspur posted total matchday revenues of €135m – €2,148 per seat – in the newest stadium in the top 20, the state-of-the-art 62,850-seat Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Interestingly, Manchester United, whose shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has openly discussed a full-scale redevelopment of the club’s ageing Old Trafford Stadium, showed that it can still generate significant income per seat at the biggest club facility in England despite several years of underperformance on the pitch. With average revenues of €2,032 per seat, United ranked fourth in the Index.
Meanwhile, Arsenal generated €1,944 per seat based on total matchday revenues of €118m, which represented 22.2% of the club’s income – a higher percentage than any other English club.
FC Barcelona’s matchday income of €166m was the most in the top 20, with the Spanish LaLiga club having embarked on a complete rebuild of the Camp Nou last summer.
Of all the clubs in the Index, Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille’s matchday income of €64.00 represented the highest percentage of income – 24.8%.
