Patrick Schwarzenegger is having an extra-special holiday season!
The actor, 30, and his longtime girlfriend Abby Champion are engaged. The couple shared the happy news via a joint Instagram post on Tuesday.
“💍❤️FOREVER AND EVER ❤️💍,” they wrote, alongside a series of photos from what appeared to be a beach proposal.
One image showed Schwarzenegger planting a kiss on his fiancée’s cheek as she showed off her sparkly double-diamond engagement ring. Other photos captured the pair kissing and embracing in the sand by a heart-shaped arrangement of red roses. They also shared a glimpse of a celebratory cake decorated with a photo of them.
Schwarzenegger and Champion were first romantically linked in September 2015, before making their relationship Instagram official in February 2016. At the time, the model, 26, posted a photo of the pair posing with their arms around each other.
Since then, they have shared small glimpses into their love story on social media. On Champion’s 25th birthday last year, Schwarzenegger — who is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver — declared on Instagram, “I love this girl so much,” alongside a carousel of photos of the pair together.
The Staircase star went on to pay tribute to Champion and all the things that make her special to him. “Such a hard worker. So beautiful. Faithful. Drinks 2 cups of coffee! Loves ice cream. Loves her sugary cocktails. Loves Jesus & America too,” he wrote.
Months later, Champion shared a touching birthday tribute of her own when Schwarzenegger turned 29 in September. “Happy birthday patch @patrickschwarzenegger. Love you so much 🤍,” she wrote.

Back in 2021, Schwarzenegger reminisced about their very first date, jokingly highlighting her quirky food choices. “I knew we would hit it off from the moment we had our first date & you ordered off the kids menu!!” he wrote on Instagram in 2021 for Champion’s 24th birthday.
While Schwarzenegger and Champion have built successful careers individually, the two have teamed up from time to time for various ad campaigns and shoots. They starred together in the Fall 2019 Calvin Klein Jeans campaign and appeared in a loved-up Vogue fashion spread in November 2022.
Schwarzenegger shared some of the magazine images on Instagram at the time, writing, “Great photos with my love @abbychampion.”
Schwarzenegger told E! News in 2019 that Champion has always been super supportive of his career. “I think the best part about having her by my side is that she’s always rooting for me and wanting the best for me and bringing out the best in me!” he said. “I always say that in a relationship, you have to be each other’s biggest cheerleader. Build each other up. And she does that for me.”

He also opened up to the outlet about how the couple keeps their relationship strong despite having to spend a lot of time apart due to their work commitments.
“We love each other and it’s okay when she goes away for a week or I go away for a month filming,” Schwarzenegger told the outlet in November 2022. “We’re moving and I feel very fortunate to be able to be together and live together.”
“She’s such a hard worker,” he gushed about Champion. “She’s a hard worker, dedicated, determined. She moved here from Alabama to pursue her dreams to become a supermodel.”
