Severe Storms Likely Tonight, Especially After Dark

Confidence has increased (80-90%) that thunderstorms will develop this evening and impact the area into the overnight hours. Storms that develop may quickly become severe with damaging winds and hail. In some cases the wind gusts alone could cause significant damage.

The speed of the storms will help limit rainfall amounts, but localized higher amounts (2″ or more) could occur.  Confidence in exactly where and when storms develop remains lower, so be sure to monitor forecast updates through the day today.

Be WEATHER AWARE tonight! Have multiple ways to receive warnings, including something that will wake you up if needed.
