A second suspect has been arrested as part of an investigation into an armed robbery earlier this week in Randolph, police said Saturday.
Eliezer Beato, 20, was arrested Friday at his home on Warren Avenue in Malden and later arraigned in Quincy District Court, Randolph police said in statement.
At the time of his arrest, Beato allegedly had eight stolen checks in his possession, police said.
Beato pleaded not guilty to charges of armed robbery, destruction of property and resisting arrest. He was ordered held, pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Wednesday, court records show.
Beato allegedly took part in an armed robbery Monday on Johnson Drive in Randolph. Officers responded to a report that two men had robbed a person of jewelry and a cellphone at gun point, according to police.
Shaun Culbreath-Isles, 18, also of Malden, was arrested by Randolph police on Monday following a brief foot pursuit, police said.
Culbreath-Isles was charged with armed robbery, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a burglarious tool and stolen property, according to the statement.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges during his arraignment Tuesday in Quincy District Court. He was ordered held, pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Wednesday, court records show.
