Kim Kardashian, Cardi B and Kendall Jenner have all reportedly lost Instagram followers after their involvement in Balenciaga’s recent Fall 2024 fashion show. While Kardashian and Jenner merely attended the showcase, their attendance resulted in a combined loss of over 850,000 followers (around 300,000 for Kim and 500,000 for Kendall) according to research carried out by Replay Poker.
Although Cardi B walked the runway, she reportedly lost just 133, 619 followers the day after the show. Surprisingly, Nicole Kidman, who was announced as the brand’s newest ambassador around the same time as the show, actually gained followers instead of losing them, with her following increasing by approximately 5,000 followers. It’s unclear as to what sparked the increase for Kidman, but it’s likely that Balenciaga fans who weren’t familiar with the actor before have since discovered her.
As for Kim and Kendall, communal disdain for the KarJenner family seems to be only increasing the more visible they are and coupled with Balenciaga’s previous controversies, it appears that the feeling towards the brand is still relatively mixed.
