Oscar winner Emma stone lists stunning 1920s LA home for $4M

  • Emma Stone has listed her LA  home for sale at an impressive $3.995 million in Comstock Hills, a suburban area within the Westwood neighborhood
  • The actress purchased the 3,276-square-foot home in 2019 complete with Spanish flair, incorporating vibrant colors and patterns
  • The Academy Award winner chose to preserve the original architectural features, including exposed beamed ceilings and a tiled courtyard

Less that one week after Emma Stone won a prestigious Golden Globe Award, the Hollywood actress has decided to put her Los Angeles home on the market for a cool $3.995 million.

The home was bought by Stone in 2019 for $2.3 million meaning the actor will be far from a Poor Thing should the property find a buyer.

Nestled in the picturesque Comstock Hills, a suburban enclave within the Westwood neighborhood of the city, the 3,276-square-foot home is not your average celebrity compound.

The property appears to exude Stone’s distinctive touch and sees her embracing a Spanish style throughout the home, combined with splashes of color and captivating patterns from the wallpaper to the ceilings.

Stone, 35, who owns properties in Austin, Texas, and an apartment in New York City, had been using the home while working in LA and living there with her husband, writer-director Dave McCrary, 38, and their daughter Louise, who is almost three.

She carried out some significant renovations after purchasing the home five years ago, expanding the kitchen and adding a guest house.

Even then she made a conscious choice to preserve the home’s original architectural details including a charming exposed beamed ceiling and a tiled courtyard that adds a touch of old-world charm to the residence.

When it comes to celebrity real estate, opulence can often takes center stage, but Stone’s decision to maintain the authenticity of her home’s design is a refreshing departure.

The plot comes complete with a newly constructed separate guest house that has a  living room, kitchen and bedroom suite with laundry.

The listing by Sotheby’s suggests the guest structure could also be set up as a home office.

Listing agent Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty believes the house will not be on the market for long.

‘The sub-$5 million category in L.A., in in-demand locations, is one of the more brisk markets,’ he told the WSJ.

This residence at once appears to be more of a canvas reflecting Stone’s personal style and artistic sensibilities in the heart of Los Angeles.

Last year, Stone sold a mid-century house in Malibu for around $4.4 million.
