Las Vegas’ When We Were Young festival has announced its 2024 lineup, and it’s got over 50 bands all performing albums in full! True to the fest’s theme, the announcement poster leans in very hard to the aspect that many of these albums came out in the CD era, and the lineup is of course full of emo/pop punk bands from the early 2000s, but with some other stuff sprinkled in too.
The headliners are My Chemical Romance playing The Black Parade and Fall Out Boy seemingly doing a career-spanning set, and… deep breath… the MANY other album plays include the first-announced Pretty Girls Make Graves show in 17 years (playing The New Romance), Dashboard Confessional (Dusk and Summer), Coheed and Cambria (Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV), Underoath (They’re Only Chasing Safety), The Distillers (Coral Fang), Saves The Day (Stay What You Are), The Wonder Years (The Greatest Generation), The Starting Line (Say It Like You Mean It), Thursday (Full Collapse), Jimmy Eat World (Bleed American), New Found Glory (Sticks and Stones), Motion City Soundtrack (Commit This To Memory), Basement (Colourmeinkindness), Say Anything (Is A Real Boy), Nada Surf (Let Go), Mom Jeans (Best Buds) and still so many others.
WWWY happens at Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The presale starts Friday (11/17) at 10 AM PT, and registration is open now. Check out the full lineup on the poster below.
