Dumud is one of the most useful Pals thanks to its impressive Mining skills and combat prowess. Here’s where you can find and catch Dumud in Palworld.

Mining is one of the most important parts of Palworld, especially once you reach the mid-game. Many important crafting recipes, gear, and Base upgrades require mining-dependent resources like Ore, Sulphur, and Coal.

While collecting these resources yourself is fine, most players are going to want to truth their Pals with the job sooner or later. Some top-tier options for Mining include Digtoise, Reptyro, and Dumud.

With that said, here’s where you can catch Dumud to add the land fish to your mining operation.

Where to find Dumud in Palworld

Dumud can be found in two areas of the Palpagos Island, the northwestern desert surrounding the Anubis boss encounter and the large southwestern desert below the Tower of the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre. Those opting for the latter will need some form of heat resistance to avoid taking damage.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to rely on chance a level 14 Alpha Dumud spawns just northwest of the Anubis desert on Ice Wind Island. After being defeated or caught this Alpha will respawn on this island every hour where it can be farmed for Ancient Civilization Parts.

How to catch Dumud in Palworld

At least for lower-level players, Dumud can be surprisingly difficult to catch as it spawns at levels 19 – 32 depending on the area and this Ground-type Pal often groups up with others. Trying to catch multiple at once can easily backfire and result in death.

To avoid this unfortunate fate it is recommended to take a Grass-type Pal to wipe out all but one Dumud, and then focus on weakening and catching the remaining Pal. However, experienced Palworld players with access to high-tier Spheres and weapons should have no problems catching Dumud.
