The Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Mega Millions reached $1.13 billion with a cash value of $537.5 million before there was finally a winner of the fifth largest jackpot in the game’s history.

What state won the Mega Millions?
There was a grand prize winner in New Jersey that matched the five white balls and the gold Mega Ball.
There also was a Match 5 plus Megaplier winner worth $2 million in New York.
There were a total of 13 Match 5 winners worth $1 million with two in Florida, Georgia and New York as well as one each in California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Where in NJ was the Mega Millions ticket sold?
New Jersey Lottery officials announced Tuesday morning that the winning ticket was sold at ShopRite Liquor #781, 2200 Route 66, in Neptune, Monmouth County. For selling the winning grand prize ticket, the retailer will receive a $30,000 bonus check.
More information about where the ticket was sold will be released during at press conference at noon.
This is the first jackpot win from New Jersey since July 24, 2020, according to the Mega Millions website. It’s the 24th time there’s been a jackpot winner from the Garden State, either singly or shared with other states.

Where was Mega Millions won?
Along with the grand prize winner, there 171 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the game’s third-tier prize, lottery officials said.
Thirty-four are worth $20,000 each because they also included the optional Megaplier. The other 137 third-tier winning tickets are worth $10,000 each, they said.
